Flyers-Canadiens: Flyers D Takes Series One Win Away From the Finals

Defense.  That was the name of the game that was missing from Game Three at the Bell Centre.

Hi Sports Fans.  Sorry I didn't cover an article for Game Three as I was on the road.

To what seemed like the Habs had found an answer to the Flyers' frustrating Defense that caused the undersized Canadiens to falter in Games One and Two, the Flyers' defense was key once again in Game Four they adjusted from Game Three's breakdown the led to the Canadiens' convincing win.

There were other factors in the game that caused the Habs to give up plays.  The protective boot cover's straps failed PK Subban and Josh Gorges which prevented them from effectively skating.  Unfortunately for the Habs, Gorges' failure created a chance for Claude Giroux who opened up the scoring.

PK Subban was knocked off a play and instead of getting right back into it immediately, he tried to plead with the officials that a penalty should have been called.

The return of Jeff Carter and Ian Laperriere added both offensive and defensive elements to the Flyers' lineup respectively.
