Memphis Grizzlies' power forward Zach Randolph was in the news a couple of days ago.
His long-time friend was busted in Randolph's SUV with a cooler containing marijuana.
The man was a 32-year-old named Arthur Boyd.
He was arrested and investigated. He later pleaded not guilty to possessing marijuana and dealing it.
Randolph has nothing to do with the case and says he had nothing to do with the drug activity or anything like that.
The Memphis Grizzlies organization is backing Randolph.
The Three Shades of Blue staff is also backing Randolph as well.
"Unless some other information surfaces, Zach remains a valued member of the Grizzlies family and Memphis community," general manager Chris Wallace said.
Randolph recently joined the Grizzlies last offseason after playing with the Portland Trail Blazers, Los Angeles Clippers, and the New York Knicks.
Randolph is coming off a fabulous season, with 20.8 points per game and 11.7 rebounds per game.
