It was a crazy first game of the 2010 Stanley Cup Finals. Goal after goal was scored. No team had a two goal lead during the game. It was a defenses' nightmare.
The Chicago Blackhawks took game one 6-5, but it wasn't the strong showing the Hawks had in mind, at least defensively.
Offensively, both teams were great. You score five or six goals in hockey and you expect to win somewhat comfortably, but that wasn't the case Saturday night. Both teams didn't have the chance to feel comfortable.
If you took a lead, so what? The opponent would score minutes later, tying the game. Constantly taking the lead, and then tying was what this game so great to watch. It seemed the team that would win would be the team who scored last, and that's exactly how it played out.
Seeing such a high scoring game, should we've really been surprised?
No, not really.
