Could the Minnesota Timberwolves Make a Playoff Run This Year?

After reading the title, you might think I am just a crazy Timberwolves fan believing that this is the year.

David Kahn has put in a little more than a year as the President of the Timberwolves and his tenure has already been quite peculiar. After controversial draft picks and unorthodox trades, fans and the media wondered if this organization will ever contend for a championship, let alone make the playoffs.

The fans knew that last year was going to be a learning curve for all the young players on the roster. It was time for Kahn to see what players could fit the "Rubio" system.

Unfortunately, Minnessota's best player in Al Jefferson did not fit the system and was traded for future first round "assets." With an improved draft night and the addition of Michael Beasley, we should expect improvement.

Is it insane to believe a playoff run is remotely possible?
