Brian Burke and the Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that they have signed forward Clarke MacArthur to a one-year deal worth 1.1 million dollars.
MacArthur adds depth up front. He can provide grit and play in all situations. MacArthur is no stranger to a big game as he won the gold medal with Team Canada in the 2005 world juniors.
MacArthur became an unrestricted free agent just a couple weeks ago after the Atlanta Thrashers walked away from his $2.4 million arbitration award.
MacArthur has put up decent numbers in his career so far, tallying 44 goals and 44 assists in 208 NHL games.
