Rangers Gear Up for Crucial Home and Home with Defending Champs

After a disappointing 5-1 loss in Tampa Bay last night, a game which head coach John Tortorella called the worst of the season, the Rangers get back to work right away as they play the Penguins in Pittsburgh tonight. Tonight's game is the first of a home and home series with the defending champs as the two teams play Monday night at the Garden.

While we are only going into December, the standings in the Eastern Conference are already very important, as only five points separate fifth place from 13th place. For every game the Rangers lose, there is another team with a similar number of points that will get a win on that day. Therefore, with the Rangers currently sitting at 10th in the Conference, the wins need to start coming before they lose control of the season.
