New York Rangers: Prospal, Drury, and Rozsival Updates; Next Cuts Coming Sunday

The New York Rangers have had a lot of early training camp injuries to deal with this September. The most current player injuries are Chris Drury (finger), Vinny Prospal (knee), and both Michael Rozsival and Steve Eminger have had some lower-body issues. Here are the latest updates on these players.

 

Chris Drury

Reports out of training camp suggest that Chris Drury may be put on the injury reserve list come October. John Tortorella has acknowledged the fact that Drury will likely miss the first week of the season, allowing another player on to the roster. If Drury is not eligible to play by the first week of October, he will likely be placed on the IR.

 

Vinny Prospal

Vinny Prospal has told the media that he is feeling better, and that he hopes to play both games against the Senators on Friday and Sunday. The final decision will likely come tomorrow prior to the preseason game against Ottawa.

 

Michael Rozsival

Michael Rozsival will likely sit out both games against Ottawa, due to an injured groin muscle. He was hurt in the game against Detroit last ...
