Omer Asik: I’m very excited to be here. I feel very good. I’m very happy to be a part of this organization.
SS: What does the coaching staff expect from you?

SS: OK. You played against Derrick Rose in the FIBA World Championship. Did you two sit down and talk before the gold medal game?
Omer Asik: Yeah. We just say hi because it was a very important game. We just say hi, how are you. That’s it. We didn’t talk that much. Just after the game.
SS: What do you think about Derrick’s game?
Omer Asik: He’s one of the best point guards in the league. I’m happy to play with him too.
