Last night, fans packed American Airlines Arena in Miami to get a glimpse of the "Big Three" in action for the first time.
LeBron James and Chris Bosh shocked the NBA world, joining Dwyane Wade in South Beach via free agency this summer, and it was time that they gave fans a little dose of what's to come in 2010.
Three minutes into the game, though, Wade came up limping with a pulled hamstring, and fans were in disbelief.
It is common for a player to be sore coming out of training camp. The conditioning is hard, the practices are longer, and there is an impression you want to make on coaches going into the season.
With soreness, comes vulnerability. Injuries are going to occur.
That is why I am here to tell you that, as a basketball fan, you do not need to fret over D-Wade's little incident.
Wade was confident that the injury wouldn't hold him back much, and he commented on ESPN that he would "rather it now, than later."
Most athletes have pulled their hamstrings. Sometimes you are sore or you don't stretch enough, and you feel that infamous pop.
