The Sixers are nine games into the 2010 NBA season and have started out with a record of 2-7.
The average fan takes a glance at our record and they quickly panic and criticize our seven losses.
Already, we have heard the "bust" label put on Evan Turner, complaints about the new head coach and people saying our season has already ended.
My response is that the record is not what it shows.
In four of our seven losses, the Sixers have faced elite teams such as the Miami Heat, Atlanta Hawks, Oklahoma City Thunder and the Dallas Mavericks. Not to mention the overtime loss against the Wizards.
Going into those games, I expected the Sixers to get demolished, even though in all of those games they kept it close.
We gave the Heat a huge scare, brought the Hawks down to the wire and did a great job of shutting down Dirk.
All of these were winnable games that were lost because of small mistakes such as not getting to foul line, committing too many fouls or not guarding the perimeter.
