Boston, Ma - Seven days ago, there were questions swirling around the Hub of Hockey that not only called for the firing of Head Coach Claude Julien but the questioning of how GM Peter Chiarelli doesn't see eye to eye with President Cam Neely and that Chiarelli should also be fired.
What a difference a week makes.
The Bruins are now in first place in the Northeast Division. Tied with the slumping Montreal Canadians for first place and the Bruins have two games in hand on them. The Bruins are striving everyday to be a miserable opponent to play against and that is just what Coach Julien and GM Peter Chiarelli want out of their team.
"Did we play as good as we did against Atlanta? No," Tim Thomas said in his post-game NESN interview. "Our goal is to play as good as we did against Atlanta every game, so we've still got a little bit of work to do."
We will see if the Bruins can do it again tomorrow night in Atlanta. If the Bruins who are in the midst of 4 games in 5 nights can put together another "miserable" game against Atlanta, then the Bruins may be off the hot seat in the Hub.
