He may be a douchebag with extensive media privilege , but he’s also one of the best centers in the Eastern Conference. No way Brendan Haywood should’ve been left off the NBA All-Star Ballot.
The injuries and missed games from 2008 should have no bearing on the promise and deliverables of 2009. So far, Haywood is averaging a double-double and has been an active participant both in rebounding and in finishing plays.
That may not count for much in the conference of Dwight Howard and Shaquille O’Neal-caliber star power, but it’s not enough to take away the professional kudos he deserves.
