Monta Ellis and Warriors Try to Hand the Suns Fifth Consecutive Loss

Things will not get easier for the Warriors during these final 14 games.

After yet another failure to close out a game in the final minutes Wednesday night against the Mavericks, the Warriors begin a road trip tonight in Phoenix against the offensively efficient, yet slumping Suns.  

When Warriors guard Monta Ellis was asked about the inability to seal the victory against the Mavericks on Wednesday night, Ellis replied—just as any leader would—by saying, "It was tough. We should've had that game. I take the blame. I made some mistakes at the end, turned the ball over and didn't hit the shots I needed to. I also waited too long to get everybody involved at the end of the game."

Ellis finished Wednesday's game with 26 points. He also showed great leadership qualities that can certainly be important for next season by adding 11 assists. He will certainly need to get other Warriors players involved in the offense early if they want to keep up with the fast pace of the Phoenix Suns.
