JT Miller: New York Rangers Prospect Makes Team USA Squad

With the 15th overall pick of the 2011 draft, the New York Rangers select J.T. Miller. 

This 6'1'', 200-pounder was surprised that he was selected that early with all of the other available players still on the board—players which analysts believe to have more talent. 

Miller only met with the Rangers organization once, so he didn't expect much to come from it. 

Apparently it only took the one visit for the Rangers to like what they saw and find their man.

The Rangers might have been attracted to Miller's ability to play two-way hockey at such a young age. Miller is projected to be a solid second- or third-liner, but he may be able to crack a top line at the NHL level.

Most analysts believe the Rangers should have drafted a player with higher potential, but Miller is a "character" guy with a work ethic second to none.

Miller appears to fit the Rangers' mold.
