Philadelphia Flyers: James Van Riemsdyk out Indefinitely with Concussion

Well, there go any rumors about JvR. Either that, or Paul Holmgren is beginning to get crafty with smokescreens. 

The Philadelphia Flyers issued a statement today regarding forward James van Riemsdyk.

"James was hit in the head in each of our last two games. He reported yesterday, not feeling like himself. He will be out indefinitely with a concussion," Holmgren said in his statement.

Van Riemsdyk, who was already reportedly playing through two separate injures he sustained earlier in the season, will now sit out once again, this time with a concussion.

"He reported yesterday, not feeling like himself. He will be out indefinitely with a concussion," Holmgren added. 

The Flyers just can't seem to get a break. Concussions have been absolutely dominating the Flyers lineup, and just when it seems like a player is getting healthy, another one is going down with another injury. Philadelphia is already without stalwart Chris Pronger for the remainder of the season, and now it looks as though they may have to go without van Riemsdyk as well.
