Chris Paul and Deron Williams Are Still Cream of the Crop at Point Guard

Chris Paul and Deron Williams are still the two best point guards in the NBA, no matter what the media would like you to think. Over the last few days you've been bombarded with articles about the Phoenix Suns and what Steve Nash is doing.

For example last night against Philadelphia, Nash finished with 21 points and 20 assists which just looking at that then those are great numbers, but there's more to basketball for a point guard than just passing the ball and scoring points.

If you actually looked at the boxscore you'll see another big number and this one isn't a good number to have. What number is that? The number is seven, the amount of turnovers that Nash had.

When you look at that as a ratio that means that for every 2.85 assists that Nash has he also has one turnover.

But, looking further at the boxscore Nash didn't contribute much defensively except for a blocked shot.

Looking at the season stats for Nash as well you'll see he does well with scoring points and passing the ball, but defensively he doesn't make a difference and he turns the ball over way too much.
