Kyrie Irving Reportedly in Cast After Breaking Hand During Practice

The Cleveland Cavaliers have received some bad news upon learning that their star point guard and former No. 1 overall pick Kyrie Irving has a fractured bone in his hand and is in a cast, per Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal (via Twitter).

Kyrie Irving has a fractured bone in his right hand, will need surgery and miss summer league.

It appears Irving will need surgery to repair the bone and will miss six-to-eight weeks, according to Mary Schmitt Boyer and Jodie Valade of the Plain Dealer (via Twitter).

With that timetable, Irving will be back in time for training camp and will certainly be ready for the start of the season.

Tzvi Twersky of SLAM Magazine (via Twitter) confirms the recovery time for Irving's hand.
