Derrick Rose: Chicago Bulls Should Sit Star PG for Entire Season

The Chicago Bulls expect Derrick Rose to be back somewhere in the middle of the season, but for the overall good of the team, he shouldn't even step on the court this season.

Rose is the most important player in the Bulls current and future plans. No matter how much the Bulls need him this season, his long-term health is more important.

Chicago needs to make sure Rose's knee is not only 100 percent healthy but as good as it has ever been. He’s a player that relies on his explosiveness to elevate his game from good to great, so the health of the knee is undoubtedly paramount above anything else.

There's no reason to rush him back.

Chicago will already be too far behind Miami and Boston to grab one of the top two seeds if he returns early in the middle of the season.

And even if the Bulls allow him to come back at the end of the year for the playoffs, all they would get is a rusty player who would mess with team chemistry.

There's no reason to do that.

The Bulls are good enough without Rose to make the playoffs.
