Boston Bruins prospect Seth Griffith stretched his point-getting streak to a baker’s dozen with a four-point, three-night weekend. His London Knights concomitantly extended their OHL-best winning streak to 11 games and took over the overall lead with 40 points and a .769 winning percentage.
Griffith’s power-play assist and shorthanded goal effectively constituted the difference in Thursday’s 5-3 win over Sarnia, his fourth straight multipoint effort. He followed that with a hand in the icebreakers and winners of back-to-back shutout victories over Peterborough and Owen Sound.
The Knights will have an early start to this week’s extramural itinerary when they visit Kitchener this Tuesday to engage the Rangers for the second time in 10 days. Griffith mustered a goal and an assist against the oft-stingy goaltender John Gibson in their previous meeting.
