Blackhawks vs. Kings: How the Kings Can Come Back in Game 3 of the Series

The Los Angeles Kings find themselves down two games to none for the second time in these 2013 Stanley Cup playoffs.

The initial time was in the opening round when they fell to the St. Louis Blues in consecutive games by the score of 2-1.

This time is different however. Their talented opponents for this round are the former Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks. They are led by a solid core of players who have skill and a proven track record of winning.

The Hawks were able to take game one by scoring two on Kings goalie Jonathan Quick. The Black and Silver were badly out-shot in the first, but managed to take a one goal lead to the dressing room.

A quick sequence started in the second with Patrick Sharp and then minutes later, Marian Hossa both scoring goals that ended up winning the game for the home team.

The second game was a different animal for the Kings. It was a rare night that saw the Kings netminder give up four goals by the end of the second period. Quick was also pulled in favour of backup goalie Jonathan Bernier.
