Jimmer Fredette Rumors: Most Ideal Trade Destinations for Former BYU Star

According to Ken Berger of CBS Sports, the Sacramento Kings are looking to trade guard Jimmer Fredette and center Chuck Hayes to clear cap space to sign Monta Ellis. Marc Stein of ESPN also reported the potential for Fredette and Hayes to be moved.

The question is, if the Kings are to trade Fredette, where would he be best off ending up?

The mutual interest between Ellis and the Kings is well documented, as Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports wrote in late May that the scoring guard would like to sign on with Sacramento. The source of the interest is that Ellis played for new Kings head coach Mike Malone while with the Golden State Warriors.

Unfortunately for Fredette—or perhaps fortunately—Berger reports that he's now become expendable.

It's not clear what the market is for Ellis at this point, but a league source confirmed to CBSSports.com on Monday that the Kings are investigating their options for moving Chuck Hayes and Jimmer Fredette to accommodate Ellis' desire for a contract starting at $12 million per year.
