Miami Heat Will Hold 2013 Training Camp in the Bahamas

Winning an NBA championship must be nice. 

You get the thrill of victory. You get to hold up the coveted Larry O'Brien trophy while Bill Russell waits to hand his eponymous trophy to the best player on the court. You get to celebrate with champagne and plenty of parties afterward, culminating in a sure-to-be-epic parade. 

And, if you're the Miami Heat, you get to hold training camp in the Bahamas. 



According to B/R's Ethan Skolnick, it's a move that the team had considered in the past. But while it was a hypothetical last year, it's actually happening in 2013. 



Of course, this is going to do one of two things. 

It's either going to shroud the Heat's top-secret plans for the 2013-14 campaign in secrecy. They're where the media can't touch them anymore, so they can party practice without the constant glare of cameras and the clicking of smartphones distracting them. 

Then again, it could have the exact opposite effect.
