Taylor Hall Injury: Updates on Oilers Star’s Knee, Likely Return Date

The Edmonton Oilers lost former No. 1 overall draft pick and star left wing Taylor Hall to a left knee injury sustained Saturday night against the Ottawa Senators.

According to the team’s official Twitter feed, Hall will miss four weeks of action:

GM MacTavish says Taylor Hall is expected to be out four weeks due to his injured left knee.

"I don't think there's a better team to overcome Taylor's skill being out than ours. We have a lot of weapons." - Eberle

— Edmonton Oilers (@EdmontonOilers) October 22, 2013 The injury came on a check from Ottawa defender Eric Gryba and featured what looked to be unintentional knee-to-knee contact. Hall responded with a slash to Gryba and was penalized.

After leaving the box, Hall was struck on the knee by Senators center Kyle Turris and immediately left the ice before entering the locker room.
