If you haven’t heard the name of Taylor Hall then you are about to be introduced.
Hall, 18, leads the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in points this season (59) as his team, the Windsor Spitfires are currently post the best record in the OHL.
Hall made his OHL debut during the 07-08 season when he lead the Spitfires with 45 goals and was third in points with 84 points, earning him OHL Rookie of the Year honors. Other notable names that have won the OHL Emms Family Award include: Patrick Kane, John Tavares, Rick Nash, and Joe Thornton.
This past season he was awarded the Memorial Cup MVP as he led the Spitfires with 90 points including the game winning goal for the Spitfires to clinch the Memorial Cup championship.
Hall has continued where he left off last year as the Windsor Spitfires are favored to repeat as Memorial Cup Champions.
While Hall continues to dominate the OHL, the NHL awaits for his arrival next season.
Hall is projected to be the first player taken in 2010 NHL Draft in June. NHL scouts have raved about the amount of talent that is loaded in this year’s draft class.
