The NBA All-Star game has always been a showcasing of talented athletes, gathering once every mid-season, to display their skills.
Nonetheless, every year, a slew of the league's top performers fail to participate in these gaudy festivities.
This is naturally due to fan perception of who has played like an "All-Star?"
There are those select players that radiate productivity and are recognized for it. Players like, Dwight Howard, LeBron James, and Dwyane Wade. But there are others who fail to be acknowledged for their potency.
David Lee for example, of the New York Knicks, is more productive than either Shaquille O'Neal or Andrea Bargnani. Despite this however, Lee ranks behind centers like Tyson Chandler and Brad Miller, who only own a negligible 60,839 votes combined.
In contrast, Allen Iverson, a player who has long been on the decline (and was never all that productive even in his prime) ranks second among Eastern Conference guards.
The notion of Iverson playing in Dallas would be laughable, if only it weren't so contemptible.
The number of guards that deserve to start in place of him, are by far and wide many (his teammate, Louis Williams, for starters).
