Christmas has become one of the biggest days on the NBA's regular-season calendar, and the league is tentatively set to pique fans' interests this year with an NBA Finals rematch between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors on Dec. 25.
The game hasn't yet been made official, but sources are telling ESPN.com's Marc Stein that the reigning champion Dubs will host the Cavs that day.
Stephen Curry and Golden State took the title over LeBron James and Cleveland in a six-game series that flipped in the Warriors' favor once they went small and featured eventual NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala in the starting lineup.
Although Golden State was the best team in the NBA from wire to wire, the Cavaliers and their fans have been left to wonder what could have been if stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love weren't injured.
They may get to find out on Christmas Day, and while the stakes won't be as high as they were in the Finals, one can only assume the Cavs will be hungry for revenge.
