Kyle Lowry dropped a substantial amount of weight in the offseason and, apparently, lifted his game in the same breath.
The Toronto Raptors point guard bested Vince Carter's franchise record for points in a preseason game by two with a 40-point performance over 28 minutes against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.
Lowry knocked down 6-of-9 from downtown while shooting 13-of-18 from the field overall.
During the 2014-15 regular season, the 29-year-old flirted with numbers that high but peaked just once at 39.
