Bryant Did Not Return After Exiting Preseason Game vs. Kings

According to Lakers.com's Mike Trudell, Bryant was diagnosed with a left lower-leg contusion after taking a knee to his calf in the third quarter of a preseason contest against the Sacramento Kings. Before he was formally ruled out, Bryant retreated to the locker room under his own power, per the Los Angeles Times' Mike Bresnahan.
"He just bumped knees," head coach Byron Scott told reporters following the game, per ESPN.com's Baxter Holmes. He's all right." According to Holmes, Scott told reporters he expects Bryant to play Saturday against the Golden State Warriors.
