Ben Gordon Waived by Warriors: Latest Comments and Reaction

After Ben Gordon played a little over 16 minutes in the preseason, the Golden State Warriors announced they have waived the veteran 2-guard on Wednesday.

Yahoo Sports' Marc J. Spears initially reported the move.

Gordon was always a long shot to make the Warriors' final roster, and the limited time he received on the court was a telling sign as to his future with the team. The 32-year-old averaged a point and an assist in his two preseason appearances with Golden State.

ESPN's Amin Elhassan joked Gordon was resembling some of the main characters from Life after they reached old age:   



As Sactown Royalty's Akis Yerocostas alluded to, Gordon has had quite a precipitous decline over the last five or so years:



Once a 20-point-a-game scorer, Gordon bottomed out in 2013-14, when he played 19 games and averaged 5.2 points on 34.3 percent shooting.
