Throughout NHL history, a number of stars have shared the same jersey number. The trait continues among today's best players, such as Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin and St. Louis Blues right wing Vladimir Tarasenko (pictured above).
In most cases, there is one clear standout among those sharing a number. In a few others, however, there are two or more who bring considerable star power to their respective jersey numerals. Several numbers are shared by a mix of long-time stars and rising talents, while others are worn by top talents in their playing primes.
Here's a ranking of the current NHL jersey numbers with the most star power, noting the accomplishments of the players sharing those numbers and selecting the best of the bunch. Rookies were not included as they've yet to establish themselves as NHL stars. As always, feel free to weigh in with your opinion in the comments section below.
