DeAndre Jordan's free-agent flip-flop is a thing of the past, but Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban may not let the center live his divisive decision down if comments following Tuesday's 120-105 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans were any indication.
According to the Los Angeles Times' Ben Bolch, Cuban told reporters he may eventually release the correspondence he had with Jordan before the center backed out of a verbal agreement with the Mavericks and re-signed with the Los Angeles Clippers on a four-year max deal:
"Some day I'll let you read all the texts and we'll get into it and we'll talk about it, but now is not the right time," Cuban added, per Bolch.
While Jordan was previously slated to sign with the Mavericks, a last-minute change of heart redirected him back to Hollywood after head coach Doc Rivers and Clippers players met with the center in Houston. Jordan reportedly shunned the Mavs' last-ditch efforts to contact him, according to ESPN.com, and he proceeded to ink a new contract with the Clippers once the NBA's free-agent moratorium was lifted.
