Trade Ideas: Tracy McGrady to Detroit Pistons? Teyshaun Prince to NY Knicks?

The Detroit Pistons are trying to find a balance between the new—Ben Gordon, Rodney Stuckey, Charlie Villanueva—and the old—Ben Wallace, Tayshaun Prince, Rip Hamilton. Currently, they are guard-heavy and rely on their outside shooting for the majority of their scoring. 

The Pistons have some young forwards who are getting close to being ready, or are even are ready, for more playing time—Jonas Jerebko, DaJuan Summers, and Austin Daye—but are blocked long-term by Prince. The Pistons desperately need to improve their low-post scoring, but with their roster the way it is, they will not have the cap to sign a low-post-scoring big next summer.

This may seem like a crazy trade, but here me out. Three-team trade between Detroit, Houston, and New York. Detroit would get Tracy McGrady and Danilo Gallinari. Houston would receive Hamilton, Al Harrington, and Cuttino Mobley. New York would receive Prince and Kyle Lowry.

In my opinion this deal makes sense for all three teams.
