Jaromir Jagr is no longer tied with Gordie Howe.
The 44-year-old Florida Panthers star now sits alone in third on the NHL's all-time points list with 1,851 after his first-period assist Monday against the Boston Bruins.
The NHL tweeted this after the ageless wonder recorded the historic point:
Jagr recorded his 28th assist of the year on Aleksander Barkov's goal.
Sportsnet provided a clip of Jagr's assist, which was followed by Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask claiming there was interference on the play:
Jagr tied Howe in his team's game against the Colorado Avalanche on March 3 with an assist to Erik Gudbranson.
The assist Jagr recorded Monday night was his 49th point of the season. He's now one point away from his first 50-point season since he was a member of the Dallas Stars in 2013-14.
