Kawhi Leonard scored 20 points and the San Antonio Spurs used a dominant fourth quarter to rout the Los Angeles Clippers 108-87 and secure their 42nd straight home win at the AT&T Center on Tuesday night.
This was a one-point game entering the final frame, and then, the Spurs bench took over.
David West and Patty Mills keyed the 37-point period for San Antonio, as West bullied the Clippers on the offensive glass and Mills made hustle plays and drained big shots to extend the Spurs' lead.
San Antonio held Los Angeles to 17 points over the final 12 minutes. The Clippers had rallied in the third quarter to take a one-point lead after trailing by as many 12 in the second quarter.
The Spurs also finally began to make some three-pointers in the fourth, draining six of their last 10 attempts from distance after starting 2-of-10.
San Antonio shot 53.7 percent from the floor overall.
Chris Paul led Los Angeles with 22 points, while DeAndre Jordan added 16 points and 14 rebounds.
The biggest difference in this game was bench scoring. The Spurs bench outscored the L.A. bench 51-20.
