The Toronto Raptors are playing some of their best basketball in franchise history but could be dealing with adversity after small forward Terrence Ross suffered a head injury.

Ross on Sidelines for 'Precautionary Reasons' Monday, April 18 Ross played 10 minutes in Monday's playoff game against the Indiana Pacers before being taken out. The Raptors' media relations team noted on Twitter that "Ross underwent concussion protocol at halftime. No clear sign of concussion. Has a headache. Out for precautionary reasons."

After signing a three-year, $33 million contract extension on Nov. 2, per Sportsnet.ca, Ross was expected to have a breakout season coming off the bench for Toronto this season.

However, it was much of the same issue for the Raptors' athletic wing player this year. He averaged a mediocre 9.9 points per game after posting 9.8 last season, although he shot a career-high 43.1 percent from the floor and 38.6 percent from three-point range.
