Al Horford and Kyle Korver scored 17 points apiece and the Atlanta Hawks handled the Boston Celtics, 89-72, at Philips Arena on Tuesday night to take a 2-0 lead in their first-round Eastern Conference playoff series.

This was one of the uglier playoff games you will see.

Down Avery Bradley and Kelly Olynyk, the Celtics were lacking offense coming into this contest, and it showed right off the bat.

Boston scored only seven points in the first quarter, falling behind 24-3 at one point. The Hawks led 24-7 by the end of the period despite missing their last nine shots of the frame.

The Celtics' offensive ineptitude continued for the rest of the night, shooting only 31.8 percent from the floor and going 5-of-28 from three-point range.

Atlanta wasn't much better.

The Hawks shot just 39 percent, but made up for it by knocking down 11 triples. Korver made five of them.

Boston made a couple of small runs, trimming Atlanta's lead to 10 at one point, but it never got to within single digits after the first period.

Game 3 is Friday night at TD Garden at 8 p.m. ET.
