Olympic Men’s Hockey: Five Players We Wish Would’ve Been Here

After today's last quarterfinals matchups conclude, the Men's half of Olympic ice hockey will have been whittled down from 12 teams to four and will be entering the last stressful days of the crucial tournament. However, while this happens, there will be many other NHL players sitting at at home, wishing they could be in Vancouver. Whether they're dreaming about being there while their native nation wins gold, or wishing that they could've perhaps helped them team survive Olympic elimination, there are definitely plenty of players who might just have deserved a spot in these 2010 Winter Olympics. However, there are a couple players that might've deserved a roster spot more than others; several players that, we think, could've been the ones that put their country over the top, yet were snubbed in the selections. So, here's five players (as well as a group of Team USA snubs) that we wish would've been able to play their fair share on the biggest stage in the world, yet were left waiting & hoping that they'll still be even in contention to be selected to represent their country four years from now.Begin Slideshow
