Having been away for a couple of weeks golfing in San Diego and Palm Springs, the only way to keep abreast of the Nucks was to listen on line, since no one carries much in the way of hockey telecasts. No wonder very few people watch it down south except the Canadians, just try and find it unless you have a satellite dish.
Not much has changed since I left, since the team is still on a losing skid heading into the playoffs. Concern with the Canucks five of eight losses should be on every fans radar screen.
This does not look like a team that will get past the first round especially if it has to face an opponent like the red hot Detroit Red Wings (9-0-1). I am not going to rehash my thoughts on Roberto Luongo’s play of the last two months, since that was covered in my article Will Roberto Luongo of the Vancouver Canucks Make the Grade?
What I do see is a team that has let its foot off the gas, since a Divisional title seems to be imminent. That opens up a whole can of worms, since losing streaks can be cancerous.
