2010 NBA Finals: Time for Rajan Rondo To Step Up in Finals

Rajon Rondo is one of the best players and point guards in the NBA.

He has been the Boston Celtics leader and best player throughout the team's unexpected, successful playoff run.

Through the conference finals, Rondo has probably played better than anyone this postseason.

He had triple double series against Cleveland, including a monstrous 28 points, 18 rebounds, and 13 assists Game 4.

Simply put, Rondo was a force during that run.

But he looked like a different player against the Lakers.

L.A. limited Rondo to just a few jump shots, assists, and rebounds. His 13 points, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds aren't good enough for Boston.

The Lakers defense didn't take him seriously.

For Boston to win Game 2, and eventually the series, the real Rajon Rondo will have to step up.

He's the heart of Celtics offense. He distributes the ball, scores when needed, and defends well. But when opponents stop Rondo, Paul Pierce cannot handle the solo scoring load.
