2010 NBA Playoffs: Does Shaq Diesel Have Anything Left in the Tank?

With opening tip-off for the 2010 NBA Playoffs around 12 hours away, the question on everybody's mind is: will Shaquille O'Neal play?

Since going down with a thumb injury in a 108-88 win in Boston, Shaq has played exactly zero minutes in the Cavaliers last 23 games.  Those 23 games spanned a time period of nearly two months of basketball, which is a long time off for any player, let alone the 38 year old O'Neal.

Shaq was cleared by doctors to play in the regular season finale against the Hawks, but instead of getting some tune up minutes against a playoff team, you could see him on the bench dawning street clothes with LeBron.

This is the time of year that he was brought here for. 

Big Shaq Diesel is in Cleveland for one reason, to be the defensive presence in the post that can play with the likes of Dwight Howard and Andrew Bynum.  By being that presence, he is supposed to clear the way for LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers to win their first NBA Championship in team history.  More importantly, he is here to keep LeBron James in Cleveland.

Shaq is not a fraction of the player he once was.  ...
