It's going from bad to worse for the Los Angeles Lakers, as rookie forward Anthony Brown will be on the shelf with a right foot injury.

Brown Not Certain to Return This Season

The Lakers' official Twitter account announced on Saturday that Brown is expected to miss at least four weeks "after an MRI revealed a stress reaction in his right foot."
When discussing the injury on Sunday, Lakers head coach Byron Scott noted Brown could miss the remainder of the season, per Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News.
Injury Derails Brown's Progression
Brown has been used more in Los Angeles' rotation of late, appearing in each of the last three games, including a career high 35 minutes on Friday against Atlanta.
The 23-year-old was drafted in the second round last year. He's struggled in 29 games this season, averaging four points and shooting just 31 percent from the floor, but his presence on the roster has been invaluable due to Kobe Bryant's injury woes and general ineffectiveness of Metta World Peace.
