Wednesday marks the four-year anniversary of No. 15 seed Lehigh's shocking upset over second-seeded Duke in the 2012 NCAA tournament's round of 64.
As a result, former Mountain Hawks star C.J. McCollum—who scored 30 points in the 75-70 upset—couldn't help but give his now-Portland Trail Blazers teammate and former Blue Devils star Mason Plumlee a hard time.
But in the end, the Duke alum got the last laugh.
Early on Wednesday, McCollum redirected a GIF at Plumlee and former Blue Devil Gerald Henderson:
To which Plumlee replied:
Touche.
Mason (alongside brother Miles) won a ring with Duke in 2010. Two years later, he wound up on the wrong side of the scoreboard in one of the biggest upsets in tournament history. He is now teammates with the star of that team.
McCollum certainly has bragging rights on the one game, but Plumlee has the ring—something every athlete dreams about.
