The Washington Wizards have yet to figure out how to avoid injury, but if they ever do, they will be one step closer to their next mission:
Learning how to win.
A losing streak this early in the season is certainly not worthy of home crowd booing, but what can you expect from Redskins transplants deciding if the Verizon Center is a safe asylum from the Snyder Plague? We’re talking about a Wizards team with a new head coach, two new starters, a missing all-star forward and its best player recovering from injury.
Yeah, it is as difficult as that last sentence made it out to be.
The players and coach need to master rotations, lineups, and on-the-court tendencies before the Wizards can even consider how to best position to win games. Are they going to be slashers or jump shooters? Will the post players need fewer or more shots?
Will they buy into playing defense instead of trying to out-athlete their opponents on offense ?
They’re young, they’re new and they are in transition. The Wizards aren’t good, but the tall order of determining the direction of the team shouldn’t be served up in such a short time.< ...
