Carl Landry Leads Sacramento with 18 Points, But Kings Fall To Suns

Carl Landry continues to do everything in his power to carry his new team.

However, the Sacramento Kings continue to find ways to keep losing.

Sacramento dropped a 104-88 road loss to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday evening, despite 18 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block from Landry.

“Believe it or not, from the final score, I was encouraged by what I saw out there tonight,” Sacramento head coach Paul Westphal told Kings.com. “I thought we played very good defense, really the whole game and particularly in the first half. But we couldn’t keep them off the offensive boards which hasn’t been a problem for us all year but has been the last two games.”

Landry and the Kings return to the court on Tuesday, Feb. 23, at home against Detroit.

“I saw a lot of good things out there,” Westphal said following Sunday’s loss in Arizona. “The complexion of our team has changed pretty drastically the past couple of games and with a couple of walk-throughs, I saw some good things out there and I am encouraged.
