To answer my own question, yes, it is very possible.

New rumors out of Yahoo! Sports say that the Chicago Bulls are a very likely trade partner for the Denver Nuggets if they are willing to oblige.

But, that is a big if.

See, there is a lot of secrecy within the front offices of NBA teams. The Nuggets have reportedly not been accepting trade offers for their superstar. Is this a possible PR move, or is it just a smokescreen for a possible blockbuster trade?

Who knows?

Right now, all we know is that new trade suitors have surfaced, and the Chicago Bulls are the most likely team to trade for Carmelo Anthony.

Why?

Because they have a ton of assets that the Denver Nuggets want.

They have a replacement small forward in Luol Deng and two young prospects with James Johnson and Taj Gibson. There are also draft picks available and the Chicago Bulls have a little bit of cap room to maneuver.

So what would the Denver Nuggets ask for return for Carmelo Anthony?

Luol Deng, Taj Gibson, James Johnson, and draft picks.
