On Thursday night, celebrities and athletes from all sports and professions came together under the bright lights of New York City to support Justin Tuck's R.U.S.H. for Literacy charity.
While the focus of the night was Justin Tuck's cause, the LeBron James free agent chatter found its way onto the red carpet, and into the discussion.
"Alright LeBron this is what I'm going to promise you," said actor, comedian, and Knicks fan Anthony Anderson, "I'm going to promise you Wade, I'm going to promise you Bosh, and I'm going to promise you Stoudamire, that's who I'm going to surround you with."
When I asked if that was not a possibility, Anderson jokingly responded, "Then he's not coming."
But the LeBron chat stretched into the athletic world as well, as Knicks legend Earl "the Pearl" Monroe weighed in on the possibility of LeBron coming to New York.
"The main thing is that it's New York, that's the biggest thing. What people need now is something to really grab hold to, and I think LeBron would be that type of person to make that happen here in New York."
