After agreeing to a deal with the Dallas Mavericks before free agency officially started, DeAndre Jordan began having second thoughts about leaving the Los Angeles Clippers.
So what did he do? The monster 7-footer sent Doc Rivers’ son, Spencer, a Snapchat. Here's what the coach said in an excerpt from Justin Barrasso’s story for Sports Illustrated:
DeAndre thought about leaving, but right away, he knew he wanted to come back. He even Snapchatted my youngest son Spencer. He had told two or three people he’d made a mistake [after signing the offer sheet with Dallas], but the Snapchat said, "Tell your dad to call me."
This is another peculiar detail in what has to be one of the NBA’s most outrageous stories in recent memory.
No word on whether said Snapchat was sent late at night with Drake’s Take Care playing in the background, but that’s another story for another day.
