Derrick Rose is a phenomenal basketball player, but he put his career and life in jeopardy when he got in the car with a drunk driver.
It's time for the young star to grow up and make smarter life decisions.
TMZ is reporting that Rose was outside of the LAPD station early Friday morning, but it was his best friend who was being arrested for drunk driving.
Rose was a passenger in a black BMW that Randall Hampton, his best friend and personal assistant, was driving. Police said they detected alcohol on Hampton when they stopped the car for a routine traffic violation.
Everything is fine now, but why the NBA's youngest and brightest star got in the vehicle in the first place is ridiculous.
There's nothing wrong with famous people having a posse or entourage always around them, but a best friend should never be your personal assistant. This is exactly a reason why.
Sure, Hampton may have felt okay to drive, but as the ad says, buzzed driving is drunk driving. Rose risked way too much getting into that car early this morning.
