Derrick Rose sure is exciting.
The Bulls were sporting their green jerseys in honor of St. Patrick's Day as they beat the Nets 84-73. Rose had 21 points but only two assists. He also had that thunderous dunk.
Rose threw it down with so much force and power that he fell to the ground when it was over. That, my friends, is an authoritative dunk.
The two assists surprisingly aren't his lowest total of the season. He had only one assist back in January, which is actually the last time he played against the Nets. He also had 21 points in that game.
Rose is being heavily considered for the NBA regular-season MVP. Does this OK game knock him off the top? I'm not so sure it does.
Some consider him the favorite for the MVP, while others believe LeBron James, Dwyane Wade or Kevin Durant deserves the award.
I believe Rose is at the top, and this decent game doesn't hurt him all the much. No other player in the league has meant as much for his team as Rose has. He is the reason the Bulls are in first place in the Eastern Conference right now.
