There's a Derrick Rose video sweeping across the internet today. In it, the Bulls' star point guard makes Sacramento Kings' guard Tyreke Evans look silly with a filthy crossover layup.
The Bulls led the Kings 85-83 with just under four minutes left in the fourth quarter of Saturday's game, when the third-year point guard drove to his right, towards the basket.
He instantly cuts back into the lane as Evans freezes and stumbles in front of him, unable to keep up, and knocks down the suddenly wide open layup between Evans and center DeMarcus Cousins.
Rose has been one of the NBA's best point guards since day one, and plays like this have become the rule, rather than the exception for the former Memphis Tiger.
The crossover layup was part of a 27-9 demolishing in the fourth quarter on the part of the Bulls, who rallied from a 76-69 deficit to snag a 96-85 win over the Kings. Sacramento fell to 4-11 on the year, and have dropped 10 of their last 11 games.
Rose finished with 30 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and a steal as Chicago improved to 9-6 on the year. The win kept the Bulls' suddenly ...
